Unusual perspective

Taken in a backyard in Hilliard, Ohio, this photo highlights an unusual perspective used by the photographer. The rusting metal T-shaped object was captured while lying underneath it, with a clear sky above it. A strong wind was blowing during the shot, as evidenced by the swaying tree in the background and the chain on the T-shaped object.

Details

This white flower was captured at Darby Creek Metro Park. It was chosen because all around it, flowers remained with most or all of their petals. This one only had two left. You can see the other flowers in the background with all of their petals. Selective focus

A dog is shown looking in the direction of a blowing American flag that is nestled in a flower pot. The dog is deliberately out-of-focus to emphasize the blowing flag. Picture was obtained by going on my knees behind the pot and waiting for the flag to flow from the wind in the right way.

Reflection

On a highway somewhere between Columbus and Indianapolis, a semi-truck’s 70-mph spinning tire is photographed, with the reflection of the vehicle starkly appearing in the wheel. Photo was taken from the passenger seat of the car next to the truck. The white line in the road shows how close the two vehicles move.
